OUR CERTIFICATION
Karya Nusantara Selatan is committed to protecting the future generations and environment. We dedicated to driving sustainable timber practices and promoting environmental preservation.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international, non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. Since its foundation in 1994, FSC has grown to become the world’s most respected and widespread forest certification system.
FSC’s pioneering certification system enables businesses and consumers to choose wood, paper and other forest product made with materials that support responsible forestry. The certification confirms that the forest is being managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers, while ensuring it sustains economic viability.
The FSC principles are aligned with our goals. Karya Nusantara Selatan with Berkat Cahaya Timber under Terra World Ventures Group wants to ensure the future generations can benefit from well-managed forests. We strongly believe in sustainable business. For this reason, our products carry the FSC label to ensure that they are sourced from responsibly harvested and confirmed forests.
SVLK Indonesia (Sistem Verifikasi Legalitas Kayu) is Indonesia’s national timber legality assurance system. It’s a system that ensures the legality and sustainability of forest management, and the traceability of timber products. SVLK was developed to combat illegal logging and the trade of illegal timber, and to promote the legal and sustainable trade of forest products.
SVLK is the backbone of Indonesia’s FLEGT (Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade) licensing system. In order to follow regulation and support the implementation of Indonesia Timber Legality Verification System as a whole. All timber from state or concession forests must undergo legal verification. This includes timber in the industry, from raw materials to the final product. It is also required to sell timber in Indonesia. The certification is proof that a timber company’s operations are legal and follow regulations.
